Machu Picchu From Cusco is a tour operator based in Cusco, Peru, registered with the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Cusco (DIRCETUR/GERCETUR). Our guides, cooks, porters and horsemen come from the communities of the Sacred Valley, Mollepata, Ocongate and Ollantaytambo — the same places you will walk through.
We design and operate every itinerary ourselves. That means we buy your permits and tickets directly, we know every campsite and every family that hosts you, and we answer your messages from Cusco, not from a call center.
How we work
- Small groups: a maximum of 12 travelers per group departure and private departures every day.
- Fair treatment of porters: fair wages, load limits, insurance, proper equipment and meals.
- Safety first: first-aid trained guides, emergency oxygen, satellite or radio communication on remote treks and evacuation protocols.
- Responsible tourism: we follow the Code of Conduct against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESNNA), leave no trace on the trails and work with local suppliers.
- Transparent prices: everything that is included and not included is written on each tour page, with no hidden fees.
